braintronics® with Body & Mind syncSystem

Massage is a centuries-old tradition to regenerate the body and improve performance. The technique of the Body & Mind syncSystem massage programs ensures a sensitive back massage. It can initiate the gentle regeneration of undersupplied intervertebral discs, release mental and physical blockages and have a positive effect on the entire musculoskeletal system of the spine. In the modern world, the human body is exposed to many unnatural stresses and poor posture. Standing or sitting for a long time, heavy physical work, activities with a bent back in combination with psychological stress at work or in the private sphere take their toll.

Entrainment is a principle of physics. It defines the synchronization of two or more rhythm cycles. The principles of entrainment appear in chemistry, neurology, biology, pharmacology, medicine, astronomy, and other fields. The origin of this “theory” can be found in 1656, during the creation of the pendulum clock; Dutch scientist Christian Huygens found that 2 unsynchronized back-to-back pendulum clocks synchronize themselves with time. This self-contained synchronization was so accurate that no mechanical calibration could do it more accurately. Brainwave entrainment involves the brain’s electrical responses to rhythmic and/or sensory stimulation, such as bursts of sound and light. When the brain is exposed to a stimulus, such as a sound pattern through the ears, pulses of light through the eyes, or other senses, it responds to that stimulus with a response called the cortical evoked response (see below). These electrical impulses can be measured anywhere in the brain and are always a reaction to what we see and hear. This activity in the brain can be measured by sensitive electrodes attached to the scalp. EEG measurements show that the brain is induced to approach certain frequencies. The process of bringing the dominant brain wave frequency closer to the externally supplied frequency is called entrainment.

The consequences are back pain, a tense shoulder/neck area, headaches and restricted mobility. Around 70% of 30 to 60 year olds suffer from back pain, a widespread disease, with half of those affected seeing a connection with their professional activity. Of course, chronic back pain can also be attributed to wear and tear, injuries, illnesses or inflammation. The Body & Mind sync system encourages relaxation, supports the relaxation of tense muscles and can release blockages. As a unit, the “body” in the Body & Mind syncSystem can positively influence the entire musculoskeletal system of the spine.

The brain is our control center

Brainwaves can express a great deal about a person. Researchers have found that brainwaves not only represent general mental status, but can also be stimulated to change a person’s mental state.

This can be of enormous help in the treatment of mental health problems. By observing brain wave patterns, an increased abundance of beta waves has been found in, for example, anxious people. People with ADS/ADHS, on the other hand, tend to generate an overabundance of slow alpha/theta brainwaves. Every thought, impression, and phase throughout the day generates impulses at different frequencies in the brain. In general, science distinguishes between four frequency ranges: BETA, ALPHA, THETA and DELTA.

ALPHA waves The best known is the area of alpha brain waves, which arise in the conscious yet deeply relaxed state. Alpha is a kind of intermediate state between sleep and wakefulness with the frequency range 7-14 Hz. One is calm and relaxed without sleeping and feels deeply relaxed. In addition, the subconscious is very receptive to learning content – the optimal state for superlearning.

THETA waves In this frequency range, 3-7 Hz, one is even more relaxed than in alpha. Theta brainwaves occur during light sleep or meditation. Here suggestions go directly into the subconscious, so it is not advisable to fall asleep in front of the television, for example. The “guardians” of the conscious mind are switched off and all the contents of the program, including the negative ones, penetrate directly into the subconscious.

BETA waves Beta brain waves are found in the frequency range 14 – 30 Hz. A state of high concentration and mental activity is characteristic of this area. We are in this state most of the day, wide awake, focused, thinking and working.

DELTA waves The delta brain waves are in the lower frequency range of 0.5-3 Hz, this represents the unconscious area of the brain waves. The delta brain waves mainly occur in the dreamless deep sleep phase. They are of great importance for the proper functioning of the immune system, and valuable growth hormones are also frequently released.

Frequency Follow Response

In the 1950s, Robert A. Monroe became interested in the connections between sound patterns and brain waves. Monroe’s discovery, based on previous work by others, allowed pulsating sounds, which evoke an electrical frequency response (FFR) response in the brain, to be used as a tool. FFR and headphones made it possible to guide people into different brain states (alpha, beta, delta, theta). In May 1975, Robert A. Monroe received a general patent for his invention. During brainwave entrainment, certain bursts of sound are heard. As the stimulation progresses, the rate of frequency of these impulses is slowly changed, changing the brain wave pattern (FFR) as well, resulting in a different mental state dependent on frequency. For example, a sound pattern in the 4 Hz range creates a kind of sleep state, since it corresponds to the natural brain wave pattern during sleep.

The same concept can be applied to many other mental states, including concentration, relaxation, and meditation. braintronics® audio stimulation of the brain waves usually begins in the lower beta frequency ranges. The system slowly steers into the upper and then lower alpha frequencies for smooth synchronization. Theta and delta waves are used during audio stimulation for regeneration and deep relaxation. The ultimate goal of braintronics® is the idea of effectively synchronizing brainwaves into a desired brainwave state. Whether you want to relax, dream or learn, everything is possible. Our brain needs time to learn. The synapses and ramifications require an average of 3 weeks to form new connections. With regular use of the Body&Mind syncSystem, your brainwaves will learn step by step how to cope with stress, overcome fears, become more balanced and achieve unexpected physical and mental achievements.

Experimental study on the effectiveness of the braintronics® relaxation system

An experimental study on the effectiveness of the braintronics® relaxation system was carried out as part of a bachelor thesis at the Technical University of Munich. For this study, the participants were selected with an average age of 43 years. For this study, the subjects went through the braintronics® program twice a week over a period of 12 weeks. We at Casada would like to make the study available for you to download.

WHERE DOES STRESS COME FROM?

Stress is an instinctive and innate response to a potential threat, such as encountering a predator or other life-threatening situation. It ensures survival and promotes the automatic defense mechanism, also known as the “fight or flight response”. The sympathetic nervous system responds to danger by releasing hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol, increasing heart rate and blood pressure, increasing performance and endurance, and generally improving physical ability. We generally perceive this as a stress reaction.

Nowadays the danger of a predator attack is rather improbable. Yet the natural fight-or-flight response remains part of human nature. It is not exclusively life-threatening events that provoke this reaction. Triggers can also be financial or professional worries, relationships, children, time pressure, traffic, nutrition or much more.

Not only acute stressful situations can endanger physical health. The greatest health risk is constant stress. When our body is constantly preparing for battle, it focuses all of its energies on survival. The longer the stress lasts or the more frequently it occurs, the more likely it is that the alarm system will overreact, throwing the body and mind off balance. Most people just don’t have the time or resources to regulate their stress levels. In addition, bad habits such as smoking, unhealthy nutrition and lack of sleep and exercise make things worse.

A study led by Sheldon Cohen (Carnegie Mellon University) exploring the link between stress and illness showed that the body’s ability to handle infections is impaired by chronic stress. The constant release of stress hormones throws the entire system out of balance. Specifically, according to Cohen, it’s the constant release of cortisol that poses the main risk. One of cortisol’s most important jobs is to fight infections.

However, when the immune system is continuously exposed to cortisol, the body becomes desensitized and resistant (glucocorticoid resistance). Cohen explains: “The ability of the immune system to regulate infection predicts the development of a cold, but more importantly, it provides evidence of how stress promotes physical ailments. Under stress, the immune system is unable to respond to hormonal commands and consequently generates infections that promote disease.

For most people, a job and constant availability are the number one stress factor. However, work-related stress results from the increased “focus on profitability”. Unfortunately, more work does not always mean more pay.

Neuroscientist Bruce McEwen (Rockefeller University New York) said: “We have a hard time taking breaks. Many of us can no longer avert the stress response. It has already changed the way we live.” It is almost impossible to avoid stress at work. Many of those affected do not know how to counteract the build-up of tension. According to the American Institute of Stress, half of stressed workers need help coping with stress. The higher the pressure, the more difficult it becomes to escape the stress. It was also found that higher wages and education are directly linked to higher burdens.

Stressed employees are not only unhealthy, but also – and of great importance for the employer – more insecure and unmotivated at work. This fact weakens a company’s competitiveness and reduces overall productivity.

Mark Salisbury, Human Capital Management: “Your employees ensure the competitive advantage. A strong and effective workforce is critical to the survival of any type of business.”

Stress not only impairs the healing process, but is also responsible for chronic inflammation. Doctors believe that 50 to 90% of all ailments are the result of everyday stress.

“The fact is that chronic stress favors the development of mental illness. It is therefore crucial to take the first alarm signals such as sleep disorders, pain or irritability seriouslyand to counteract them.” – Dr. Hans-Peter Unger.

The symptoms and diseases that occur as a result of long-term increases in stress hormones are very diverse, harmful to every body and should not be underestimated. Among others these are:

  • Increased sensitivity to pain

  • cardiovascular diseases

  • headache and neck pain

  • erection problems

  • burnout and depression

  • allergies

  • sleep disorders

  • tinnitus

  • irritable bowel syndrome

  • Gastric and intestinal diseases

  • dementia

  • difficulty breathing

  • Chronic Fatigue

Who does not know this: too much work and not enough time. The pile of files keeps growing, the customer is asking for the offer for the third time and the to-do list just doesn’t get any shorter. Read and answer customer emails even after work, make appointments and enter them in the calendar and much more.

Employers and employees are increasingly reaching their physical and psychological limits. How could it be otherwise if, for example, constant availability is the No. 1 stress factor in Germany? Stressed superiors and employees are not only unhealthy in the truest sense of the word, they are also often insecure and less motivated in their work. Unfortunately, the stress that comes with the end of the day often doesn’t simply fall away from us. We often take him home with us, which puts additional strain on family life.

The health and satisfaction of employees and managers has become a decisive competitive factor. An unmotivated workforce, internal dismissals, absenteeism and high turnover are core problems that cannot be ignored. Because only strong, motivated and efficient employees strengthen the competitiveness of companies where unique selling propositions of products or services are pushed into the background due to too much competition.
